I’m sad about the end of summer. Why birds with your sweet song have to fly south each winter? I wish the triad could build a large bird house so we…..Sean here: MR. SKIIIIP!!!! YOU WRITE ABOUT HOMO BIRD!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAAHA…IS FUNNY!!!!…Ok, back to you Skip:
Sean is such an ass.
This past weekend was so much fun. First trip to the mountains! Let me tell you, it was REALLY cold. I guess since we are not used to the chilly weather yet, it seemed REALLY cold. My dad and I went up to Wilkes County and took his 4-wheeler. The trails were awesome. We had to clear a lot of the trails since nobody has been up there this year. It was a like a jungle! Maybe later this winter I will go up for some snow 4-wheeling! Anyway, I hope everybody had a nice weekend and don’t forget Picnic in the Plaza is next week, the 28th, in Greensboro. It’s the last picnic of the year, so tell all your friends to come out and see us! All proceeds go to Make a Wish Foundation. As always, make it a good one! Carmen
Our prayers and thoughts go out to Sergeant Mickey Hutchens. It is so hard to even wrap my mind around this senseless death…a man who served for so long in our community, giving to others, giving to his family…giving to his church. If you want to chip in and help his family…stop by a Wachovia Bank and you can donate money. 100 Percent of the proceeds go to the family. I have to say it is an honor that my father got to work with him for many years. My dad is a retired Police Officer with the Winston Salem Police Department. Please pray for all of our men and women who service our community…Carmen
Today I am going to get my pink hair extensions put in for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month! For 10 dollars, you too can get an extension put in your hair at Neil’s 2 in Greensboro and all proceeds go to National Breast Cancer Research. Neil’s 2 is located right off of State Street right near Café Pasta where we have had some of our mixers at in the past. They not only look really cool, but you are doing a great thing! If you did not know, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I totally support the cause in any way I can. We have, going on for 3 years now, shown women how easy it is to get a mammogram by getting one done live on the air. The doctor and technician walk the listeners through each step to show how easy and painless it is. I can not emphasize how important it is to get checked, especially if you have a family history or even if you suspect anything is wrong. Early detection is the best way to tackle and beat breast cancer, so get it done this month if you have not already!!! As always, make it a good one! Carmen
